Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials have detailed QuickBooks Online documentation. Maidily Grow also advertises current QBO support, and ServiceM8 lists accounting connections. QuickBooks availability by product
| Product | Status used in this guide | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Jobber | Published QBO entitlement and official integration documentation | New integration is rolling out; distinguish it from legacy sync |
| Housecall Pro | Published QBO entitlement and official sync documentation | Mostly one-way; some post-sync changes need manual handling |
| ZenMaid | Pricing page says coming soon | Not counted as a verified live native integration |
| BookingKoala | Native QBO connection not established here | A generic integration/Zapier reference is not proof of full accounting sync |
| Maidily | Grow-level published integration; vendor describes live QBO | Full two-way marketing is not an independent test of edits/refunds |
| ServiceM8 | Current US pricing lists accounting integration | Quotas and Android Lite can still rule out the broader workflow |
| Launch27 | Pro lists a QuickBooks integration | Edition and object-level detail not sufficiently established here; not given a verified-QBO flag |
| MaidCentral | Not normalized for specific QBO behavior in this edition | Obtain the actual integration scope as part of its quotation; no universal compatibility claim |
“Not verified” is not “impossible.” It means we will not recommend a purchase as though that requirement is satisfied.
Why one-way versus two-way is not enough
An integration can move customer records one way, invoices another way and some status changes not at all. It can also have an initial import that differs from the ongoing sync. A single phrase hides too much.
Decide which system creates and edits operational invoices, which holds the accounting ledger, and who handles failed or changed transactions. A scheduling platform connected to QuickBooks does not become a substitute for bookkeeping or for the accounting subscription itself.
Jobber: confirm whether the new integration is enabled
Jobber's August 11, 2026 documentation describes a new integration gradually reaching selected accounts. It provides an optional initial import from QuickBooks into Jobber, then ongoing one-way sync from Jobber to QuickBooks. It says Jobber becomes the source for clients and products/services, and a QuickBooks paid status no longer syncs back under that new workflow. Jobber new QuickBooks Online sync
The practical consequence is that an old review's generic “two-way sync” description can be misleading. Record the integration version in the account. Then use the corresponding documentation, not a screenshot from a different version.
If the office collects a payment or edits a customer in the wrong system, does the operational view reflect the intended result? Demonstrate that before relying on the connection. The relevant question is not which label sounds more complete; it is whether your working process remains consistent.
Housecall Pro: test a change after the initial sync
Housecall Pro documents predominantly one-way movement to QuickBooks Online. Its help article distinguishes the initial invoice sync from later edits and notes specific handling for invoice changes and cancellations. Housecall Pro QuickBooks Online sync
A successful first transfer is therefore only the beginning of the evaluation. Change a line item after syncing, cancel an invoice and inspect both systems. Establish the correct manual action where required instead of assuming another automatic transfer will repair everything.
The system may be appropriate when the office understands those steps. It is not appropriate to sell the process internally as “never touch the books again.”
Maidily, ServiceM8 and Launch27 connections
Maidily's integration page specifically describes QuickBooks Online and customers, invoices and payments. It markets two-way syncing, but we have not independently demonstrated every reverse edit, partial payment or refund behavior. The calculator includes the published Grow entitlement without repeating the vendor's perfect-accuracy language. Maidily pricing and plan matrix Maidily QuickBooks integration
ServiceM8's current US price matrix includes accounting integration. A low-cost or free subscription can therefore remain relevant to a small operation, but only when its user/new-job limits and required device workflow fit. Full Android field-payment/management functionality is not established by the presence of an accounting connector. ServiceM8 USA pricing ServiceM8 Lite Android capabilities
Launch27's Pro tier publishes a QuickBooks integration label. This research does not establish enough edition and object-level detail to normalize it as verified QBO in the finder. That is a narrower evidence status than calling the feature absent. Launch27 pricing
Six invoice and payment changes to try
Run the test in an approved test setup with your bookkeeper or accountant involved. Do not connect an experimental dataset to live books casually.
| Case | What to inspect |
|---|---|
| New customer, completed clean | Customer identity, service address and invoice total |
| Partial payment | Balance in both systems and payment allocation |
| Changed invoice line | Whether and how the revised amount reaches the ledger |
| Canceled invoice | Required action in both systems; no unexplained orphan record |
| Refund | Original charge, refund and resulting balance |
| Processor payout | Gross receipts, fees and bank deposit reconciliation |
These are test cases, not product pass results. Add your tax and accounting treatments with the person qualified to configure them. The guide does not prescribe jurisdiction-specific tax handling.
Subscription and integration costs
You may need the operations platform, a qualifying integration tier, QuickBooks itself, payment processing and implementation work. A native connector can reduce duplicate entry, but the existence of a connector does not establish a quantified saving.
Use the cost guide to record the entire stack. If manually entering a small number of invoices is deliberately cheaper and dependable, that can be a valid interim decision. It should be a chosen process, not an unexpected discovery after purchase.
Native connections vs a separate integration service
A custom automation can require an additional subscription, field mapping, error handling and ongoing ownership. A general promise that two products can connect says little about refunds, deposits, deleted records or duplicate customers.
Do not compare an unbuilt automation with a documented native connector as though both already meet the same requirements. Price and test the proposed bridge separately. An owner seeking low-maintenance software should be particularly careful about creating another integration they must support themselves.
Choosing a QuickBooks-connected plan
When native QBO sync is essential, examine the documented Jobber, Housecall Pro, Maidily and ServiceM8 options against the actual account version and six-case test. The depth of public evidence differs; the integration flag is not a certification that every case passes. When it is optional, compare the cost of the manual process honestly rather than upgrading from fear of missing a feature.
Read Jobber vs Housecall Pro for the broader choice, or use the finder to filter by currently documented QBO support. A roadmap promise is not a completed integration.
